NileByte is a software company registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt, based in Office 1004, Suite 5, Tower 74, El-Nozha Street, Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt. 1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information only as necessary to provide our services:

  • Contact data: name, company, email, phone number, and messages you submit via our contact form or WhatsApp.
  • Account data: when you create a Customer Portal account — email, encrypted password (bcrypt), company details, and language preferences.
  • Billing data: address, tax ID (if applicable), invoice and payment history. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage data: IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, and visit time — via server logs and analytics.
  • Uploaded files: any files you upload via the portal or request us to import (e.g., media library).

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and deliver agreed projects.
  • To create and manage your Customer Portal account and provide support tickets.
  • To issue invoices, collect payments, and send renewal/subscription notices.
  • To improve our website and services, monitor performance, security and prevent fraud.
  • To send service-related updates only (we do not send marketing without your consent).
  • To comply with legal and tax obligations in Egypt.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Essential: login, language preference (ar/en), and form protection via Cloudflare Turnstile.
  • Analytics: understand how visitors use the site (you can disable via browser settings).

You can control cookies from your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect site functionality.

5. Sharing with Third Parties

We never sell your data. We share it only with:

  • Payment providers: authorized gateways (e.g., Paymob, Geidea, Fawry or others) to securely process payments. They are governed by their own policies and PCI-DSS certification.
  • Hosting & infrastructure: cloud/VPS servers and email (SMTP) providers inside and outside Egypt.
  • Security services: Cloudflare Turnstile for form verification.
  • Legal authorities: when required by competent Egyptian authorities.

All providers are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.

6. Payment Data

All payments are processed via licensed, encrypted third-party gateways (TLS/SSL). We do not store full card numbers or CVV on our servers. We retain only: last 4 digits, card type, transaction ID, and payment status for invoicing and support.

At checkout you will be redirected to the gateway's secure page. Please review the payment provider's privacy policy before completing payment.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and invoice data for the duration of the contractual relationship and for 5 years thereafter to comply with Egyptian tax and legal obligations. Contact form data is kept for 24 months. You may request early deletion unless a legal obligation prevents it.

8. Data Security

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for all connections.
  • Passwords encrypted with bcrypt and securely stored.
  • Regular backups and servers protected by firewalls and security updates.
  • Restricted access to authorized staff only.
  • However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we strive to protect your data to the best of our ability.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data and request a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion (subject to legal obligations).
  • Object to certain processing or withdraw consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with competent authorities in Egypt.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us for immediate deletion.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect legal or technical changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you via email or site notice.
