How It Works
1. Invoice Generation
When an invoice is published, the system can generate a secure payment token.
2. Payment Token
A unique, cryptographically secure token is created for each invoice:
- Token embedded in a payment URL
- URL format:
/public/pay/:token - No login required — patient pays without creating an account
- Token expires after payment or after set time period
3. Patient Payment
The patient accesses the payment page:
- Via link sent through WhatsApp
- Via QR code printed on the invoice
- Via email or SMS
- Directly at the counter with a tablet

NileByteCare supports two major payment gateways:
Paymob — Egypt’s leading payment gateway
- Mobbile wallet (Vodafone Cash, Orange Money, Etisalat Flous)
- Credit/Debit cards through Paymob’s acquiring network

2Checkout (now Verifone) — International gateway
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- PayPal (in select regions)

5. Automatic Reconciliation
When payment is received:
- Webhook callback from the payment gateway
- Invoice status updated (Paid/Partially Paid)
- Journal entry created automatically
- Patient notified via WhatsApp/email
6. QR Code on Invoice
Every invoice includes a QR code that links directly to the payment page:
- Patient scans QR code
- Payment page opens with invoice details
- Patient completes payment in seconds
